This needs to be done as a precaution when making mistakes unintentionally that cause Windows into error.

By doing a backup first, when Windows has an error due to the editing is done in the registry, we can restore it by means of restoring the registry of Windows 8 and the computer will return to normal.
Here's how to edit registry Windows 8 to bring back button on the Windows start menu as its predecessor:
  1. Press the button on the keyboard accompanied by pressing the Windows logo letter R, it will display the Run dialog box
  2. In the Run dialog box, type regedit, and continue by pressing Enter on the keyboard or click OK and you will immediately see the Registry Editor window
  3. Move the mouse to the left of the windows registry editor and look for the code:
    "HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorer"
  4. Check the right side of the Registry Editor window, on the field RPEnabled its default key contains 1
  5. Click 2 times on RPEnabled and change the value to 0 followed by clicking Ok
  6. Close the Registry Editor and restart the computer
  7. When the computer is on, the Start menu of Windows 8 will look like Windows 7 start button.
