How to display the Start Menu in Windows 8
How to display the Windows Start menu button 8 by editing the Windows registry, it is better if you do a backup first.
This needs to be done as a precaution when making mistakes unintentionally that cause Windows into error.
By doing a backup first, when Windows has an error due to the editing is done in the registry, we can restore it by means of restoring the registry of Windows 8 and the computer will return to normal.
Here's how to edit registry Windows 8 to bring back button on the Windows start menu as its predecessor:
- Press the button on the keyboard accompanied by pressing the Windows logo letter R, it will display the Run dialog box
- In the Run dialog box, type regedit, and continue by pressing Enter on the keyboard or click OK and you will immediately see the Registry Editor window
- Move the mouse to the left of the windows registry editor and look for the code:
"HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorer" - Check the right side of the Registry Editor window, on the field RPEnabled its default key contains 1
- Click 2 times on RPEnabled and change the value to 0 followed by clicking Ok
- Close the Registry Editor and restart the computer
- When the computer is on, the Start menu of Windows 8 will look like Windows 7 start button.
So hopefully useful.
