Simple Speaker Protector build
Simple Speaker Protector uses a transistor BC547 and a 12 volt relay. Simple Speaker Protector circuit is divided into several sections:
Power supply voltage protection section.
This section serves to prevent rollovers awarding supply voltage protection circuit to the speakers. This section consists of a 1N400 diode and a filter capacitor 100uF.
Timer Section.
This section serves to determine the length of time delay. Speaker protection circuit will provide interconnect delay time between the power amplifier with loudspeaker for 5 seconds. part timer (delay) is constructed from the configuration resistor 33K and capacitor.
The time delay (delay) on the speaker protection circuit is determined by the length of the capacitor charging process.
Contactor Section.
This section serves to connect the power amplifier output path to the speaker. This section was built using transistors BC547 and a 12 volt relay and a 1N4148 diode as a snubber.
2 simple speaker protective work function is:
- Provide a time delay of the process of switching the power amplifier output path to the speaker that aims to avoid the boom on the speakers due to the power amplifier output voltage spikes when first turned on.
- Disconnecting power amplifier with speaker, in the event of a short circuit on the spool damage the speakers.
